- Delicious with a green salad which is also a great source of additional vitamins and minerals. They are important for maintaining a healthy body. Serving all meals with a side salad is an easy way to ensure you eat all the vegetables you need for a healthy balanced diet;
- Make sure you used reduced salt, low fat feta cheese. It contains the same amount of calcium as full fat feta, but less fat and calories. Check the package labels of several brands and choose one with the least fat and salt. Make a habit of choosing products with low fat, sugar and salt content. It will improve your diet and reduce your risk of developing chronic health conditions like obesity, erectile dysfunction, type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome;
- Choose whole wheat pasta instead of white pasta. Whole grain cereals like brown pasta and rice have more fibre than products like white pasta and white rice. Fibre is an important micronutrient used by the gastrointestinal system to digest food.
