Minirin Tablets are a medicine containing desmopressin acetate, a synthetically produced copy of the hormone vasopressin called desmopressin. Vasopressin is normally produced by the hypothalamus gland and stored in the pituitary gland. These glands are situated in the brain. Desmopressin found in Minirin Tablets helps to regulate the amount of fluid in a person’s body. Minirin Tablets (and other forms of Minirin, including Melts and Sprays) are used to treat cranial diabetes insipidus and bed wetting.
