Pseudostratified columnar ciliated epithelium a collection of epithelial cells which arrange themselves in columns and project tiny hairs called cilia. Epithelial cells can be any cells which form the outer layer of tissue surrounding an organ, including the skin. This type of epithelium is found in the respiratory system, specifically in the mucus membranes of the nose and throat. It contains mucus secreting cells called goblet cells.
